AVIAddXSubs is a program that helps media players automatically find and detect subtitles that are placed into the same folder as a movie by burning them together.

Review:

Some of the best movies are foreign films. Instead of just giving up watching these films, people enjoy finding subtitles so that they can enjoy the movie the way it was meant to be enjoyed. However, adding subtitles to a movie can be time-consuming. That is where AVIAddXSubs comes into play.

The way that AVIAddXSubs works is pretty simple. It is a free program that helps media players detect subtitles that have been placed in the same folder as a movie by burning them together. Users can get this program to work by placing the .SRT (subtitle) file into the same folder as the .AVI (video) file. As the name suggests, this program is designed to work with only AVI files.

Just because these files are in the same directory does not mean that the subtitles are going to start up every time the film is started. Instead, users still have to activate the subtitles in their players. Activating subtitles in players differs from one program to the next, so users will have to refer to their program's “Help” files to learn how to turn on subtitles.

The great thing about AVIAddXSubs is that the burning process is extremely quick. Users don't have to wait a long time before they can enjoy their movies with subtitles. Another great thing about this program is that it eliminates the need for multiple .SRT files within films.

Although the program is pretty handy, it has its drawbacks, like most programs. First, the program requires users to name the subtitle the exact name of the film to burn them together. This isn't so much as a problem as it is annoying. Also, the subtitles can sometimes be hard to locate after they have been burned to a movie, but this is more annoying than it is a problem.
